Kong Collapse Top Adventure 5 Days 4 Nights Itinerary

Day 1: Pick-Up Time And Technical Training Lesson

As a private tour, our driver and international tour guide will pick you up at Dong Hoi or Phong Nha. So please give us your exact location! We will come to meet you on time and then transfer you to administrative headquarters. Here, you will take part in technical training at the training station.

Morning Schedule

The pick-up time will be at 8:30 a.m. From 9:00 – 12:00, this is the technical training time and you will have lunch after training at noon. You have to spend the whole day training to guarantee your safety.

Afternoon Schedule

When finishing your lunch and taking the rest, you will continue to be trained from 14:30 to 17:30. The expert will teach you how to control the single rope technique (SRT) and the way to do rappelling and go through the transverse line safely.

After all, you will attend the practicing abseiling class at the training station till 17:30. Then we will have dinner at 18:00 back to the homestay.

Day 2: Explore Phong Nha With Road 20 Victory And Tiger Cave. 

With a distance of about 11 kilometers, we will start our first hiking tour from Phong Nha to Doc Gio and discover Tiger Cave.

Morning Schedule

8:30 a.m: our team will come and pick you up at the homestay to go to the headquarters. We will check the hiking gear as well as the equipment of each person.

9:15 a.m: it’s time for us to begin the journey. We will cross Road 20 Victory and stop at km24. In about 45 minutes, you will reach the trekking’s start point.

10:00 a.m: let’s be ready for a hiking experience in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. In the beginning, the terrain is quite easy for you to move. However, it will be harder and harder following the time you hike higher. In an hour of hiking, you will get to Doc Gio.

12:30: We will take a break for lunchtime and you can enjoy the panoramic view, take some beautiful photos and wander around of jungle.

Afternoon Schedule

13:30: the journey will continue to the next destination: Tiger Cave. If it rains, you have to cross some puddles. The terrain will be weaving more when you have to conquer Grass Slope – or known as “Dốc Lươn” in Vietnamese at 14:00.

You should be careful when going through Dốc Lươn because it is very slippery. Furthermore, the road will be not too difficult for you when there are many vines and trees for you to hold.

In 2 hours, we will reach Tiger Cave’s lower entrance. Here, you have to show your swimming skills to move to the cave. Between 16:00 and 16:30, you will undergo the lower passage of the cave by swimming, which requires you to have a strong physical condition. 

At 17:00 – 18:00, this is the time to build the campsite at the Tiger Cave. We will have dinner here. During dinner, we can talk, make friends, and chill. Till 21:30, we will go to bed and save energy for tomorrow’s journey.

Day 3: Conquer The Secretes Of Kong With 3 Kilometers Of Trekking

Morning Schedule

We will eat breakfast at 8:00 at the camp and start abseiling to Kong’s Eye in 100 meters. Then, you will reach the Kong Collapse bottom at 10:00. 

Afternoon Schedule

We will spend a lot of time discovering the Kong Collapse button till 15:00, so you can explore different things here.

After that, our team will have time to explore Tiger Cave’s back entrance and Kong’s extension passages. At 17:00, you can chill, take mesmerizing photos of Kong Collapse, central Vietnam or enjoy swimming in the river near the campsite.

Then, we will have dinner and take rest at 18:30 and go to bed at 21:30.

Day 4: A Day Underground

Day 4 is the most interesting for you to explore the complex of Kong Collapse, Tiger Cave, hang Over Cave, and Hang Pygmy.

Morning Schedule

We will have breakfast at 8:00 and then move to Turtle Rock. Here, we will make a photo shoot and check in for the best memories. Till 9:00, we continue our adventure.

From 9:00 to 10:00, it is time for us to discover the Tiger Cave’s exit. Nevertheless, you have to save energy to swim crossing some water areas. The swimming route can last 300 meters, so do not forget to change your clothes before swimming.

At 10:00 am, we will reach Hang Over. Our team can take time to discover Hang Over with a length of up to 3.2 kilometers. Known as the longest cave belonging to Tiger Cave systems, Hang Over possesses a unique beauty with many stunning stalactites.

At noon, this is the time to enjoy lunch.

Afternoon Schedule

13:00: Our team will move onto the Massive Attack area. With 80 meters in height and 125 meters in width, this area has a big scale with numerous stalactites. Hence, let’s take as many photos as possible since this is an ideal spot to check in!

14:00: We will experience crossing the sinkhole located in the middle of Over Cave and Pygmy Cave. Then, let’s discover one of the top 4 largest caves in the world: Pygmy Cave.

From 14:30 – 16:00, we will figure out all the corners of the Pygmy Cave following an 80 m-long rope. Next, let’s challenge ourselves to conquer The Dinosaur Spine section! Won’t you be scared of heights? We hope you won’t because you have to swing down a high cliff of up to 15 meters.

Day 5: Kong Collapse Top Adventure 5 Days 4 Nights Ends

The final day will be the day to say goodbye and pack your things to get back to the homestay.

Morning Schedule

At 8:00 a.m., we will get up and get ready to have breakfast. After breakfast, we will begin to pack our things at the camp base, clean, and start leaving at 9:00 a.m. You can take some time to take photos and save memories.

9:30 am is the goodbye time. Let’s say goodbye to Pygmy Cave! Then, we will hike through the mountain and valleys with numerous steep slopes.

We will reach Co Slope at 10:00 am after a long way and enjoy the beauty of mother nature with shallow streams and picturesque waterfalls if it rains.

Next, we will stop to enjoy lunch and recharge our energy.

Afternoon Schedule

We already overcame all obstacles on ways and we will wait for our car to pick us up and get back to administrative headquarters at 14:00.

At 15:00, we will reach the administrative center and check in at the homestay.

Especially, the Gala Dinner will be celebrated to welcome you at 18:00.

What To Bring In Our Kong Collapse Top Adventure 5 Days 4 Nights?

There are a set of things you should prepare and carry out during the journey:

• You should have two sets of long, quick-drying clothes. It will help you to protect yourself while walking and avoid itchy plants as well as dangerous insects;
• Don’t forget to bring 3 sets of pajamas to wear or stay overnight at campsites;
• You have to swim in some terrains, so remember to bring swimwear;
• Prepare two pairs of turtleneck socks and a medium-sized backpack to put your stuff inside. Avoid oversized backpacks because they cause difficulty when moving.
• Sandals or flip-flops are necessary for camping;
• To avoid water and broken stuff like your phone, a waterproof bag should be used;
