In The Morning
At 8:30 AM, our private vehicle and local tour guide will pick you up at your hotel or homestay in Hoi An. Later, the team starts the Hoi An Countryside Tour.
Note: For private transportation, you can choose bicycles or private cars. Please inform us so that we can arrange it for the tour.
Firstly, you will visit the Cam Thanh Coconut Forest. You can choose either cycling or taking a Hoi An private car. Upon arrival at this 7-hectare-wide forest, we will take the Hoi An basket boats to go crab fishing with local fishermen.
In addition, you will have a chance to learn how to use simple fishing tools to catch crabs and fish. If you are lucky, you will catch some. After that, we will go to a local family to do a Hoi An cooking class. You will learn how to cook some local specialties, such as Banh Khoai (Vietnamese rice pancakes) and Nem Ran (fried spring rolls).
More interestingly, if you go with a group of your family members or friends, there is real competition among you guys. In the end, the local master chef will tell you who will be the best cook of the day, and you will get a prize.
After the cooking course, we will have lunch with what you have just cooked and 4 more dishes from the local chef. Moreover, you can drink some fresh coconut water from the family garden (seasonal).
After a lovely lunch, it’s time to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere amidst the rural area of Hoi An while getting a foot massage with local medicines from local herbs.
In The Afternoon
Around 1:30 PM, we will keep doing the Hoi An countryside tour with the Hoi An Ancient Town. As mentioned, it was known as the biggest international trading port in Vietnam in the past. From the 16th century on, it was one of the great ports in the world.
Hoi An is beautiful, with colorful lanterns, ancient houses, and assembly halls following Chinese and Japanese architecture. We will visit some highlights, such as the Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old House, and Phuc Kien Assembly Hall.
Finally, we will go to Hoi An theater to enjoy some wonderful performances, such as plays, dramas, Cham dances, classical instrument performances, and bingo games.
