CAO DAI TEMPLE AND CU CHI TUNNELS TOUR ITINERARY

In The Morning

At 8:00 am, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City Center to start the tour. Firstly, we will travel to Tay Ninh to visit the great Cao Dai Temple of the monotheistic religion of Caodaism.

We will learn more about the sect and its relationship to Buddhism, Christianity, and Confucianism. As you know, Caodaism is a religion in Vietnam that worships only 1 eye of Heaven and under Heaven’s eye, they worship everyone. We will see the symbolic Left Eye of God and attend the noon ceremony organized by the followers of Cao Dai.

In The Afternoon

Around 11:30 am, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will go to visit Cu Chi Tunnels (Củ Chi Tunnels) and learn more about the labyrinth of underground rooms used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.

Under the fabulous and impressive tunnels, we will explore the subterranean field hospitals, weapon factories, and command centers. Moreover, we will try some of the main foods of the Viet Cong, with a cassava tasting served with tangy tea.

Cu Chi Tunnels is very large, so visitors should bring sneakers to move comfortably. In addition, food and drinks are also sold here at very reasonable prices, so visitors do not need to bring any.

The tunnels are a symbol of the resilience, intelligence and pride of the people of Cu Chi. Although the enemy organized many large-scale sweeps and bombings over many years, they were still unable to overcome the fierce resistance in this fortified base area. To the point that American soldiers were terrified when Cu Chi became a “dead zone” for American marines and Saigon armored units.

In addition, Cu Chi Tunnels also organize many interesting activities such as shooting real guns, visitors must buy them for 40,000 – 60,000 VND for one bullet. Or if you go with a large group, you can try paintball shooting, with a price of 50,000 VND. In addition, there are some interesting water games, visitors can try to experience.

Around 07:00 pm – 07:30 pm, we will get back to your hotel in Saigon (depending on traffic conditions).
