Do Quyen Waterfall Opening Time
Since Do Quyen Waterfall is part of Bach Ma National Park, it shares the same opening hours:
- Opening hours: 7:00 AM
- Closing hours: 5:00 PM
We highly recommend that visitors arrive before 9:00 AM and leave before 5:00 PM on the same day. The journey involves both driving and trekking, which can take a considerable amount of time, so arriving early ensures you have enough time to fully explore the area. If you arrive after 9:00 AM, your visiting time will be limited.
In addition, it gets dark quickly after 5:00 PM, especially on rainy days. For safety reasons, visitors should leave Do Quyen Waterfall before 5:00 PM.
If you plan to camp overnight, you will need to make a reservation at least one day in advance so that the park can arrange a suitable camping spot for you.

There are some different ways to get to Do Quyen Waterfall but the first step is to reach Bach Ma National Park. You can visit Bach Ma by motorbike, or private car, or book the Bach Ma National Park Tours.

Visit Do Quyen Waterfall from Hue
If you are staying in Hue, you can consider several transportation options such as traveling by motorbike or private car. First of all, since Do Quyen Waterfall is located in Bach Ma National Park, you will need to travel from Hue to the national park.
The distance between Hue and Bach Ma National Park is 55 km (~34 miles). It is not too far, so it only takes about 1.5 hours to drive. You will follow National Highway 1A heading south, and when you reach Lang Co Town, you will turn onto the road leading to Bach Ma National Park.

Once you arrive at Bach Ma National Park, you will need to park your vehicle at the entrance and continue your journey by shuttle bus or on foot, depending on the route. After purchasing the entrance ticket, a shuttle will take you up to the summit of Bach Ma.
From there, you will begin trekking about 2–3 km to reach Do Quyen Waterfall. The trail to the waterfall can be quite challenging, so it is recommended to wear proper sports shoes for easier movement. There are around 689 wooden steps leading down to the base of the waterfall—quite a challenge, but the scenery is absolutely stunning.
Visit Do Quyen Waterfall from Da Nang
If you depart from Da Nang, the distance will be longer—approximately 90 km (~56 miles). A longer distance means more travel time, so the journey typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours. You can choose to travel by motorbike, book a private car, or join one of our tours.
Starting from Da Nang city center, you will follow National Highway 1A heading north toward Hue. Along the way, you can choose to pass through either the Hai Van Tunnel or the scenic Hai Van Pass to reach Phu Loc District. From there, you will turn onto the road leading to Bach Ma National Park.
After arriving, you will park your vehicle, purchase entrance tickets, and then either take a shuttle bus or start trekking. If you choose the shuttle bus, it will take you up to the summit of Bach Ma National Park. From there, you will continue trekking about 2–3 km to reach Do Quyen Waterfall.
Best Time To Visit Do Quyen Waterfall

The best time to visit Do Quyen Waterfall is during spring and early summer, roughly from March to June. During this period, rhododendron flowers bloom brilliantly along both sides of the waterfall, creating a landscape that is both majestic and poetic.
Why should you visit in spring and early summer?
First of all, this is the blooming season of rhododendrons. Along the trail to the waterfall, you will see vibrant red flowers everywhere. The combination of red blossoms, the white cascading water, and the lush green forest creates a rare and stunning natural scene.

Why It Is Called “Do Quyen” Waterfall?
The reason the waterfall has this beautiful name “Do Quyen” is that along the two sides of the waterfall, there are many Rhododendron flowers. Around March – April every year, Rhododendron flowers bloom simultaneously. The brilliant flowers, reaching out among the jungle, create a gorgeous sight.

Swimming at Five Lakes
Five lakes are a cluster of 05 natural lakes located in the heart of Bach Ma mountains and forests, about 5km from the main road on the trail leading to Do Quyen waterfall.

Five Lakes is truly a masterpiece of nature, a carving and depiction interwoven among water, rocks, trees, and the space of heaven and earth. The lake shore is gray granite rocks with fairly regular sizes, up to 2m high.

The water’s surface hits the rocks and bounces back creating ripples that sparkle in the sunlight. The lower part is shallower but quite wide and up to 5m long. The water is transparent, the flow is slow, so you can clearly see each pebble on the bottom of the lake.
With crystal and frozen blue water, the Five lakes is an ideal place to take pictures, rest and swim in the cool water.
Admire the majestic beauty of Do Quyen Waterfall
