Bach Ma National Park Travel Tips
- Start your trip early in the morning (around 7:00–8:00 AM) to make the most of your time and avoid the afternoon heat, especially during the trek.
- Bring proper trekking shoes or sneakers with a good grip. The trails, especially around Five Lakes and Do Quyen Waterfall, can be steep, slippery, and uneven.
- Bring only essentials: a small backpack with bottled water, light snacks, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and a light raincoat (weather changes quickly in the mountains).
- If you plan to swim at Lake No.5, pack a swimsuit and a towel. The water is refreshingly cool and clean—perfect for a quick dip.
- A guide can enrich your experience by sharing historical insights, Buddhist significance, wildlife facts, and help you navigate the trails safely.
- There are no shops inside the park. Bring at least 1–2 liters of water per person, especially if you’re doing the full trekking route.
- Bach Ma is a nature reserve. Avoid loud music, littering, or disturbing animals. Keep the serenity intact for yourself and others.
- Avoid visiting during the rainy season (October to December) as trails become slippery, and the park may close due to landslides or floods.
- The trails leading to Do Quyen Waterfall can be dangerous. Always stay on marked paths and avoid standing too close to cliff edges.
