And the first attraction on Monkey Mountain (Son Tra Peninsula) is the Linh Ung Pagoda Da Nang. This is one of the 3 pagodas with the same name Linh Ung which means “As you wish“. The first impressive thing about this pagoda is the large scale with wonderful views of the Ocean and Da Nang city.
The second is the local monkeys coming down here to find food from the locals and tourists. They are quite familiar with humans so easily you can take photos of them.
The last one is the tallest Lady Buddha Statue in Vietnam with a height of 67m tall. With a gentle face looking down the Ocean blessing the local fishermen have a safe journey.
Unlike the hustling and busy city of Da Nang, Monkey Mountain is a green, fresh, and cool place to refresh your soul.
The next place is the 1000-year-old Banyan tree– Growing at a height of 700m, the Banyan tree stands majestically with luxuriant and interlacing foliage. It is such a huge tree with complicated complex roots that have grown down to form secondary trunks. This makes it look like a huge palace, standing out in the jungle.
After that, we continue the Danang to Son Tra Peninsula by private car to visit the Ban Co Peak (Chessboard Peak), a must-visit attraction on Monkey Mountain. It is known as the “roof” of the most beautiful coastal city in Central Vietnam, where you can immerse yourself in nature at an altitude of 700m. Drop your soul in the open sky and admire Da City with the blue sea, and bridges across the Han River “right at your feet”.
