Phong Nha Cave is located inside Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam. It is recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage and is located in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province. The distance from Dong Hoi city is approximately 45km northwest.

In addition, the cave is 7,729 m in length and consists of two parts: water caves and dry caves. Moreover, it contains 14 grottoes as well as a 13,969 m underground river. Plus, the mouth of the cave is 20-25m in width, 10m in height, and 83m in depth, including 12 main caves and many connecting branches.

Detailed Time Plan

• 9:00 AM: In the morning, our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Phong Nha town.
• 9:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up in the Phong Nha town area.
• 10:30 AM: Our tour guide will tell you some information about Phong Nha cave and train you on how to control and paddle the kayaks (For beginners). You can practice on your own in front of the Phong Nha cave mouth. After that, we start kayaking through the first 3km to the Phong Nha cave in the darkness. 
• 12:00 AM: we stop kayaking and start the hiking part in the cave for about 1.5km. 
• 1:00 PM: we will reach the underground lake and enjoy the cool swimming in the dark cave
• 1:30 PM: Enjoy a picnic lunch outside the cave.
• 2:00 PM: Then, utilize our equipment and kayak to explore the stunning grottoes of Phong Nha cave.
• 4:00 PM: At last, we return to Phong Nha and finish the Phong Nha Kayak Tour.

What To Bring?

• Firstly, you must bring a hat, travel towel, gloves, trekking pants/shorts, a swimsuit, and a small dry bag for your electronics.
• Secondly, some trekking shoes that accommodate land and water with enough tread for some muddy slopes, and backup chargers for mobile devices if any.
